Przedmiotem artykułu jest tematyczna klasyfikacja biblijnych imion własnych w aspekcie konfrontatywnym ukraińsko-rosyjskim. Autorka rozpatruje dwie kategorie imion: 1. Imiona biblijnych bohaterów (apostołów, proroków), występujące nie tylko w tekstach Pisma Świętego, ale także w utworach literackich. 2. Chrześcijańskie imiona „ludzi prostych” motywowane postaciami biblijnymi i dawane na ich cześć.

The subject of the article is a thematic classification of biblical names in the aspect of confrontational Ukrainian-Russian. The author investigates two categories of names: 1. Biblical heroes’ names (the Apostles, prophets) which can be found not only in the texts of the Bible but also functioning in the structure of literary works. 2. Christian names of „the common people” are motivated by biblical heroes and are given in honour of them.
