On 4th July 2018, President of the Supreme Audit Office Krzysztof Kwiatkowski presented the lower house of the Polish Parliament – the Sejm with the Analysis of the State Budget Execution and Monetary Policy Guidelines in 2017. The state budget execution audit comprised almost all administrators of budget parts, the largest state earmarked funds, selected implementing agencies, state legal persons, local self-government units and other entities that realise public expenditure, including 123 beneficiaries of subsidies. The audit also comprised the regularity of state budget servicing by Narodowy Bank Polski (National Bank of Poland, NBP) and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (National Economy Bank, BGK). In compliance with its constitutional obligation, the Supreme Audit Office also conducted an audit at Narodowy Bank Polski, as a result of which the opinion on the execution of the monetary policy guidelines in 2017 was unqualified.
