W pierwszej części artykułu, po przedstawieniu faktów dotyczących edukacji polonistycznej na Ukrainie, autor analizuje zawartość Podstawy programowej w zakresie wymagań wiedzy i umiejętności kulturowych u uczących się jpjo na Ukrainie (autor zawęża rozważania do dzieci i młodzieży). Zapisy w Podstawie programowej komentuje pod względem szans i zagrożeń (m.in. niejasność, nieokreśloność treści) dla efektywności nauczania. W drugiej części autor analizuje zawartość najczęściej używanych podręczników pod względem zgodności z Podstawą programową. W trzeciej części zostały przedstawione wyniki testów kulturowych wybranej grupy uczniów szkół sobotnich. W zakończeniu autor sugeruje ścisłą korelację nauczania języka i kultury na Ukrainie w perspektywie masowej emigracji Ukraińców do Polski w najbliższych latach.

In the first part of the article, after the presentation of the facts concerning Polish education in Ukraine, the author analyses the content of the Core Curriculum in terms of the knowledge and cultural skills required from the learners of Polish as a foreign language in Ukraine (the author focuses on children and adolescents only). The content of Core Curriculum is discussed in terms of opportunities and threats (such as ambiguity of the content) for the effectiveness of teaching. In the second part of the article the author analyses the content of the most commonly used textbooks in terms of their alignment with the Core Curriculum. The third part of the article presents the results of the culture tests taken by a selected group of Saturday schools students. In conclusion the author suggests a close correlation between the teaching of Polish language and culture in Ukraine in view of the mass immigration of Ukrainians to Poland in the coming years.
