Changing of Constantin Movilăwith Stephen Tomşa II without consent of Poles was a violation from the viewpoint of Poles, the agreements concluded between Poland and the Ottoman Empire from the time the enthronement in the seat by the Polish army of Jeremiah Movilă. Each side had its righteousness. Ottomans said that they changed of Constantine Movilăwith Ştefan Tomşa II because son of Jeremiah Movilăgive the help to Radu Şerban in his campaign in Transylvania, which was not supposed to do and was even warned of this. For their part, the Poles saw the gesture Ottoman ruler not a simple change but a first step in a long series of actions that would jeopardize the safety and soundness of Rzeczpospolita.
