Przedmiotem artykułu jest leksyka publicystyki Władysława Orkana, wyekscerpowana z cyklu Listy ze wsi, zawierającego wykładnię społecznych przekonań zagórzańsko-podhalańskiego pisarza. Analizie leksykologicznej poddano duży zbiór indywidualizmów leksykalnych, a zatem słów nienależących do polszczyzny ogólnej i gwarowej. Interpretacja słowotwórcza i semantyczna pozwoliła skonstatować, że bogato zaświadczone niestandardowe jednostki leksykalne zostały użyte na skutek splotu różnych czynników: indywidualizmu artystycznego, kreatywności językowej twórcy, dążenia do odświeżania środków ekspresji, zróżnicowania genologicznego tekstów, a przede wszystkim wierności wobec poetyki młodopolskiej formacji literackiej.

The subject of this article is lexis of the Władyslaw Orkan’s journalistic writing chosen from his cycle Letters from a Village, which includes the interpretation of author’s social beliefs. In this article a broad compilation of lexical individualism was analysed lexicologically. By lexical individualism I mean words which are not a part of the general Polish language or local dialect. Word-formative and semantic interpretation have shown that the above-mentioned non-standard lexical units were used as a result of the concatenation of many different factors: artistic individualism, the author’s linguistic creativity, pursuance of refreshment of the measures of expression, genology differentiation of the texts, but above all faithfulness to the poetics of the Young Poland literary movement.
