The title of the essay gives us an inspiration to uncover reminiscences of the Baroque in collections of the poetry like Lato 1932, Dionizje or Jutro żniwa and the others. The article has been inspired by some essays written by Tomasz Wójcik, Aleksander Nawarecki and German Ritz. In the essays the authors describe design of Baroque situated in Iwaszkiewicz’s works. The present article makes an attempt to recreate and compose Iwasz-kiewicz’s awareness of Baroque and suggests its polyphonic conception. It also implies that the term ‘neobaroque’ is not the best designation of Iwaszkiewicz’s point of view. So that the author of the article uses another terms. Moreover, he concentrates also on Iwaszkiewicz’s baroque elements composed in artist’s prose. The searching of the Baroque is nowadays open aspect of his creativeness. Baroque is the central issue of important theoretical discussion about the Baroque inher-ency in 20th century literature. The author of the article defines basically phenomenon of Ba-roque and concentrates on its reference to Jarosław’s Iwaszkiewicz’s poetry. The Baroque in many Iwaszkiewicz’s collections of the poetry takes different shapes and ways of articula-tions. In this short essay we can take part in the excursion under the bridge of a few literary periods and try to find connotations between them. The author in relation to Baroque denotes Middle Ages, Romanticism and Modernism literature as three different ways of influence. Everything depends on the associations which Baroque found in another epoch. The author of the article considers also the relation into Baroque and Classicism in all its bearings. The last reflection in the essay concerns difficult problem of Iwaszkiewicz’s classi-cism and another methods of writing. The main aim of this issue is to find how far it goes and where is the border between them.
