The article studies the world of nature in the poetry of the 20th century outstanding Kazakh poet Mukagali Makataev (1931-1976). An esthetic image of nature, being a semantic dominant of his creative works, is determined by the poet’s ethical principles and caused by his destiny. The research of the embodiment of nature in Makataev’s poetry has allowed us to define the most indicative structural elements, such as a system of subject-objective relations, references, syntactic repetitions and fiction antithesis forms, and to reveal their action mechanism in Makataev’s poetry.
