Z inspiracji Komisji Historii Teorii i Praktyki Rachunkowości Rady Naukowej Stowarzyszenia Księgowych w Polsce (SKwP) w tomie 37 (93) „Zeszytów Teoretycznych Rachunkowości” (ZTR), opublikowanym w 2007 r., ukazało się zestawienie prac habilitacyjnych i doktorskich z zakresu rachunkowości obronionych w Polsce w latach 1948–2006, a w tomie 74 (130) ZTR, wydanym w 2013 r., za lata 2007–2012. II Kongres Rachunkowości w Polsce, który odbył się 5–6 czerwca 2017 r. w 110-lecie SKwP, jest okazją do kolejnej prezentacji dorobku polskiego środowiska naukowego – tym razem za okres od I Kongresu, który odbył się 28–29 maja 2007 roku w 100-lecie SKwP. Zestawienie to po raz pierwszy wzbogacamy o wykaz nadanych w tym okresie przez Prezydenta Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej tytułów naukowych profesora.

On the initiative of the Committee on the History of Accounting Theory and Practice (Scientific Board of the Accountants Association in Poland), volume 37 (93) of „Zeszyty Teoretyczne Rachunkowości” („Accounting Theory Journal”), issued in 2007, contained a listing of habilitation and doctoral dissertations in the field of accounting, defended in Poland in the period 1948–2006, and volume 74 (130) of ZTR, issued in 2013, supplemented this list with works defended in the years 2007–2012. II Congress on Accounting, which took place in on 5–6 June 2017, on the 110th anniversary of the establishment of the Accountants Association in Poland, is an occasion for successive presentation of the achievement of the Polish accounting community – this time for the period from I Congress on Accounting, held on 28–29 May 2007 – the centenary of the Association. This presentation contains, for the first time, a list of the titles of Professor, awarded by the President of Poland.
