Статья отражает результаты исследования особенностей реализации номинативной функции научной терминологии на примере используемых в исторической науке терминов «факт» и «событие». Выделены три аспекта номинации: выбор и фиксация референта на основе его конститутивных признаков, дальнейшая категоризация референта и приобретение им коннотативного значения. В статье анализируются отдельные аспекты номинации терминов «факт» и «событие» с описанием их особенностей и общих черт.

The article reflects the results of studies of the implementation of the nominative function of scientific terminology used in the example of historical science, the terms "fact" and "event". There were highlighted three aspects of the category: the selection and fixation of the referent on the basis of its constitutive features, further categorization of the referent and the acquisition of their connotative meaning. The article analyzes some aspects of the nomination of the terms "fact" and "event" with a description of their characteristics and common features.
