Rev. Czyżewicki’s source was published in installments in the “Wiadomości Miejskie” (The Town News) periodical which came out in Przemyśl in the years 1921-1923. It shows tendencies dominating in Polish schools after the First World War: attempts to educate young people through organizing trips to the places connected with Polish material culture, religion and industry, and also enhancing patriotic feelings through teaching love for the monuments of the past and singing patriotic songs. It is also a so-far unused source for local history, showing the significance of Krosno going beyond the town and its region. What is more, The text shows the postwar relations of the Krosno residents with Przemyśl and Kraków – despite the destruction caused by the Great War, which considerably affected the people of Galicia, the Krosno region was an attractive place for tourists from other areas.
