Nowoczesna dydaktyka szkoły wyższej jest dziedziną pedagogiki szkoły wyższej, która bada, uogólnia i uzasadnia cele, prawidłowości, zasady, treść, modele i metody procesu dydaktycznego w szkole wyższej, wzajemne relacje pedagogów i studentów jako podmiotów procesu kształcenia, wpływ różnorodnych zjawisk dydaktycznych na kształcenie i rozwój studenta jako osoby twórczej i podmiotu przyszłej działalności szkoleniowej i zawodowej.

The modern didactics of college – is the field of pedagogy of college which studies generalizes and motivates at college the aims, rules, principles, contents, models and method of didactic process the educators and students' mutual reports as subjects of process the education, influence of varied didactic phenomena on education and the student's development as creative person and subject of future training activity and professional.
