W publikacji cała uwaga została skupiona na przedstawieniu kwestii udziału biskupów w procesie niszczenia świątyń pogańskich na terenie Imperium Romanum w IV i V wieku. W tej materii badania objęły teren tylko wschodniej części cesarstwa. Pod tym kątem przeanalizowano materiały z obszaru źródeł historycznych, prawnych i literackich. Bez wątpienia biskupi (Jerzy, Marek, Eleuzjos, Tytus, Marcel, Teofil, Porfiriusz, Jan Chryzostom) odegrali znaczącą role w procesie niszczenia pogańskich świątyń na Wschodzie, niekiedy nawet przejmując inicjatywę w działaniach, jednakże nie znaleziono dowodów na to, iż w tym czasie przejęli oni funkcję władzy świeckiej nawet na poziomie lokalnym. Można przyjąć, iż wówczas obowiązywała zasada, iż władze cywilne „przymykają oko” na działania biskupów, ale pod warunkiem, iż z ich powodu nie dochodzi do naruszenia prawa i porządku. Nie chciano prowokować żądnej grupy wyznaniowej do buntu. Dopiero stopniowe osłabianie pogaństwa na terenie cesarstwa pozwoliło cesarzom i biskupom na coraz śmielsze działania w tym kierunku.

All the attention of the author in the text The Participation of Bishops in the Process of Destruction of the Pagan Temples in the East of the Empire in the late Roman Empire (IV-V centuries) focuses on the presentation of the bishops participation in the destruction of pagan temples throughout the Roman Empire in the fourth and fifth centuries. This testing relates to the eastern part of the empire only. In this respect, the author analyzes the historical, legal and literary sources. Without doubt, the bishops (George, Mark, Eleuzjos, Titus, Marcel, Theophilus, Porphyry, John Chrysostom) played a significant role in the destruction of pagan temples in the East, sometimes even taking the initiative in this action, but there is no evidence that at this time they took over the function of the civil power, even at the local level. It can be assumed that the tolerance policy for the pagans was very important, but only if they do not infringe law and public order.

Die Aufmerksamkeit des Autors in dem Text Die Teilnahme der Bischöfe in dem Prozess der Zerstörung der heidnischen Tempel im Osten in der späten römischen Kaiserzeit (IV-V, W) konzentriert sich auf die Darstellung der Teilnahme der Bischöfe in der Zerstörung der heidnischen Tempel während des Römischen Reiches in der vierten und fünften Jahrhundert. Die Untersuchungen betreffen nur den östlichen Teil des Reiches. In diesem Zusammenhang analysiert man die historischen, rechtlichen und literarischen Quellen. Ohne Zweifel spielte die Bischöfe (George, Mark, Eleuzjos, Titus, Marcel, Theophilus, Porphyr, Johannes Chrysostomos) eine bedeutende Rolle bei der Zerstörung der heidnischen Tempel im Osten, manchmal sogar die Initiative in dieser Aktion, aber keine Beweise sind dafür gefunden, dass sie in diesem Zeitpunkt die Funktionen der zivilen Macht, auch auf lokaler Ebene, übernahmen. Man kann annehmen, dass das Prinzip der Toleranz für die Heiden gilt, aber nur wenn sie Recht und staatliche Ordnungen nicht überschreiten.
