Artykuł prezentuje propozycję nowej koncepcji wyobraźni twórczej, która redefiniuje i integruje wcześniejsze kategorie analityczne i podejścia badawcze. W proponowanym modelu twórcze zdolności wyobrażeniowe definiowane są jako połączenie trzech wymiarów: obrazowości – zdolności tworzenia wyraźnych wyobrażeń, które charakteryzują się wysokim stopniem złożoności i szczegółowości, oryginalności – zdolności do wytwarzania twórczych wyobrażeń, cechujących się nowością i niepowtarzalnością oraz zdolnością do przekształcania tworzonych wyobrażeń. Opis konceptualnego i teoretycznego ujęcia twórczej wyobraźni stanowi wprowadzenie do prezentacji nowego narzędzia – Testu Twórczych Zdolności Wyobrażeniowych (TTZW). Koniunkcyjny charakter modelu oraz specyfika nowego testu stanowią podstawę do głębszej dyskusji nad zasadnością i użytecznością profilowej analizy wyobraźni twórczej w diagnostyce edukacyjnej.
