The study introduces the issues of high-quality regional and traditional products on the contemporary single European market. It shows the changes that have taken place on this market in recent years, not only in Poland but also in other countries. The concept of regional and traditional products is also defined here, as well as a historical outline of the creation of these products and the procedure for registering regional and traditional products at both national and European Union level in recent years. Attention was also paid to the information need related to emphasizing health features and a significant quality advantage of this type of products among mass products manufactured by conventional methods. Practical marketing activities carried out on the market by producers of this type of food were also shown.
