С философской перспективы перелом ХХ и ХХІ века очень похож на перелом ХІХ – ХХ веков. В обоих случаях профессиональные ученые склоняются к философии. Однако налицо существенная разница между этими подходами. Главной причиной для Пуанкаре или Маха было их неудовлетворение теоретическими основами их науки. Современные ученые, Вайнберг и Вильсон, делают это совершенно по иным причинам. Они обращаются к фундаментальным проблемам философии. Почему? Мой ответ звучит так: потому, что философы второй половины ХХ века перестали отвечать на такие вопросы.

Seen from philosophical perspective turn of our century is very similar to turn of XIX/XX centuries. In both cases professional scientists approach to the philosophy. But there is very serious difference between these approaches. The main reason of Poincaré's or Mach's approach was their dissatisfaction with theoretical background of their discipline. Contemporary scientist, Weinberg and Wilson do it from entirely different reasons. They approaches to fundamental philosophical problems. Why do they do that? My answer is: they do that because philosophers of the second part of XX century cease answering on such questions.
