Article title

Babciu, dlaczego masz takie wielkie zęby? Żeby cię zjeść! Kilka uwag o wyrażaniu celu i przyczyny w języku polskim

Title variants

“What a great mouth my grandma!” “That’s (...) to eat you up!’ A few comments on expressing reason or purpose in Polish language

Languages of publication

The article presents methods of teaching expressions of reason and purpose in Polish language. The authors propose exercises which both teach characteristic Polish reason and purpose clauses (A and B level) and present an arsenal of semantic means to express those relations (B and C levels) . Tasks end with the exercises for the most advanced students, who are supposed to construct longer texts with a clear, detailed account of the course of events along with information of reason or purpose.
