It is presumed that the ability to receive music depends mainly on active practising of music. The establishment of principles in reception of music and description of receptive abilities of contemporary secondary school students were the main aims of music education research performed in 2006. In the research the methods of auscultatory questionnaire and semantic differential were combined.
