The first task of NIK as the external auditor of the Council of Europe was to carry out a financial audit for the financial year 2014. The audit comprised, among others, the consolidated financial statement and the statement on the budget execution. NIK gave a positive opinion on all the statements, following a series of corrections proposed by the audit team and implemented by the Council of Europe.
