Celem artykułu jest ukazanie charakterystyki stresu oraz obszarów wsparcia rodziców dzieci z uszkodzeniami słuchu. W pierwszej części przedstawiona została specyfika sytuacji rodzin wychowujących dzieci z uszkodzeniami słuchu. Zasygnalizowane zostały trudności i problemy tych rodzin. Następnie omówiono zagadnienie obecności stresu w życiu człowieka oraz stres rodzicielski, z którym zmagają się rodzice dzieci z niepełnosprawnością słuchową. Podsumowaniem tej części jest opis zagadnienia wsparcia społecznego rodziców dzieci z uszkodzeniami słuchu. W części dotyczącej metodologii badań własnych przedstawione zostały pytania badawcze oraz metody i narzędzia, którymi posłużyła się autorka niniejszego opracowania. Opis wyników i ich interpretacja zakończona jest krótkim podsumowaniem. Aplikacyjnym celem badań autorki było opracowanie programu pomocy psychopedagogicznej, zatem w końcowej części opracowania czytelnik znajdzie schematyczny zarys autorskiego programu, będącego odpowiedzią na problemy ujawnione w badaniach rodziców.

The purpose of the article is to show the characteristic of the stress of the parents with hearing impairments and the area of support. The first part speaks about the specifics of the families raising children with hearing impairments. Difficulties and problems of those families have been signalled. Next, the issue of stress in human life has been discussed, as well as parental stress with which parents of children with hearing problems must cope. By way of summing up of this part, the author discusses the issue of social support for the parents of children with hearing impairments. In the part which concerns the methodology of the proper research, the research questions are posed as well as the methods and tools are given which the author of the paper has used. The description of the results and their interpretation ends with a short summary. The applied purpose of the author’s research was her creating a program of psycho-pedagogic help, so in the last part of the work the Reader shall find a schematic sketch of an original program responding to the problems revealed in the research done with the parents.
