The purpose of the article is to show how political competition takes place in countries where there are no political parties. These countries can be divided into two groups. The first group includes countries in which this type of organization is prohibited. The second group consists of countries in which the law allows free association of people in various organizations, but nevertheless political parties do not exist. Can both these groups fall into the same category of the “no-party model”? Or perhaps these are completely different cases. To verify the hypothesis and solve this issue, a comparative analysis of the forms of political organization of society and power structures in countries where political parties do not exist will be conducted. As a result, it will be possible to present common features for all these countries and indicate the differences between them. Perhaps, by comparing different cases, it will be possible to group the cases into similar models.
