The analysis presented in this article focuses on the problems raised by representatives of the critical approach in human resource management and concerns the instrumental and oppressive role of organizational culture. Organizational culture has been the subject of controversy since the inception of the concept. Thus, critical reflection is of course not only conducted on the basis of Critical Management Studies (CMS). Nevertheless, representatives of CMS propose the most radical and reflexive approach that synthesizes a number of topics that appear in earlier criticism.
