Teza – Biblioteki akademickie muszą podjąć szeroko rozumianą współpracę wewnątrz uczelni i poza nią. Metody – Obserwacja. Analiza zdarzeń i piśmiennictwa. Predykcja. Wnioski – Istnieje konieczność współdziałania bibliotek w tej samej uczelni i wygenerowania organizacyjnej struktury sieci. Potrzebna jest również współpraca z pracownikami nauki, w różnych formach, w zakresie wspierania dydaktyki oraz badań – z wzajemnym zrozumieniem pożytków. Oczekuje się ponadto otwarcia na szeroką publiczność, z wykorzystaniem współpracy z biblioteki publicznymi.

Objective – Academic libraries need to cooperate with their mother institutions and beyond them. Methodology – Observation. Analysis of events and literature. Predictions. Conclusions – Libraries of one tertiary institution need to cooperate and acquire the organizational structure of a network. They should broadly cooperate with scholars as regards the support for didactics and research with mutual understanding of available benefits. Moreover, academic libraries are expected to cooperate with public libraries to answer the needs of general public.
