Chcąc w przyszłości zarządzać środkami własnymi oraz europejskimi, musimy dysponować zarówno wspólnie wypracowaną strategią, jak i planem zagospodarowania przestrzennego województwa. Oba dokumenty, na podstawie obowiązującego prawa, przygotowuje samorząd województwa. Strategia i plan są podstawą operacyjnego zarządzania programami i projektami realizowanymi na poziomie regionalnym oraz tworzonymi we współpracy ze wszystkimi partnerami. Ze względu na zmieniające się uwarunkowania społeczne i ekonomiczne, postęp cywilizacyjny i współfinansowanie rozwoju ze środków Unii Europejskiej Samorząd Województwa Mazowieckiego musi zaktualizować oba dokumenty strategiczne, bowiem będą one podstawą nowoczesnego i trwałego zarządzania regionem. Skuteczne zarządzanie rozwojem Mazowsza jest obecnie możliwe tylko przy aktywnym współudziale wszystkich zainteresowanych osób i podmiotów. Artykuł nakreśli zasady uzgodnień i konsultacji społecznych z interesariuszami rozwoju województwa mazowieckiego.

This article contains information on assumptions and goals of planned up-dating of strategic documents that govern development of the region of mazowieckie voivodship. Development conditions of the region has changed since the time, when development strategy and spatial development plan for the region were adopted. New challenges have appeared and development conditions have changed. Thus the up-date of the strategic documents is necessary. They form the basis for operational management of programs and projects implemented at the regional level. As such, they must be prepared in collaboration with many partners coming both from the public and the private sector. Up-dating is needed in order to properly diagnose the current challenges that must be addressed by development policies. In the first part of the article legal basis for formulation of development policy conducted by the regional government are outlined. In the second part an approach to the update of these documents is outlined. The outline contains the planned work schedule and the method of the documents development. Development strategy and spatial development plan constitute documents for strategic management of the region development. In the procedures anticipated the focus is placed at consultations, which are supposed to consolidate all parties involved in different ways in preparation and implementation of development plans.
