Artykuł porusza kwestię ochrony dobra osobistego jakim jest prywatność w kontekście hospitalizowanych pacjentów. Problematyka, której dotyczy, to prawo pacjenta do poszanowania jego życia prywatnego i rodzinnego, a brak jego respektowania w wyniku ograniczeń spowodowanych decyzją kierownika szpitala. Przedstawia obecną sytuację w całodobowych placówkach świadczących usługi lecznicze, jak również możliwości jakie ustawodawca udzielił ich kierownikom w zakresie ograniczenia prawa do prywatności pacjenta. Porusza również problem związany z egzekucją prawa do prywatności w sytuacji jego naruszenia.

The article discusses the issue of protecting personal interest, such as privacy, within the view of hospitalized patients. The focus of attention is a patient's right to his private and family life to be respected, and the lack of foregoing due to limitations caused by a decision of a head of a hospital. The current situation in 24-hour medical service centers is presented, as well as the possibilities which the legislator has given to their managers in terms of limiting the right of a patient to privacy. The problem of enforcement of the right to privacy in a situation of its infringement is also described.
