The purpose of the article is to present methods and techniques of work with future teachers of preschool and primary education in the process of teaching methods of physical education in the higher school. The next fact can be found in the process of the empirical study: a significant proportion of respondents aren’t interested in the methods of physical education of children, and as a result of it, this fact causes a harmful influence on the acquirement of professional skills. A necessary prerequisite of the successful physical education of children of preschool and early school age is acquiring by future teachers the ability to feel and absorb the rhythm. This work shows an example of the rhythmic exercise without music and another option of this exercise. Different teaching methods may be used in the study of rhythmic exercises (practical, verbal, visual) and practice techniques are popular as well, that transfer theoretical material in practice. The effective form of gaining the information by students is laying workshops on subjects. The article presents the structure of the topics «Workshop on Methodology of Physical Education of Children» and examples of the multimedia slide-show presentations, using game situations. In order to form future teachers’ professional competence in the process of teaching of some educational subjects, it is necessary to make interdisciplinary connections, tying physical education with aesthetic one, moral, intellectual and so on. The work presents forms of work in order to create aesthetic experiences for future teachers of preschool and primary education. In particular, students are offered to recognize some aesthetic-oriented issues in the content of the course topics. Thus, the topic «Ensuring motor activity of children in everyday life” gives a piece of information support towards the question “Using travel-games in physical education of preschool children (primary school)». Methods of the organization of learning activities of students, presented in the article, can be successfully adapted to the teaching of other professionally oriented courses. The developing of multimedia workshops needs a further research towards the methodology of physical education of children.
