Історичні новації кінця 1980-х — початку 1990-х років актуалізували проблему наукового осмислення духовно-культурних підвалин білоруської державності, усвідомлення та утвердження своєї національно-культурної ідентичності. За умов нового етапу національного відродження та пробудження національної самосвідомості закономірно спостерігаємо зростання інтересу до культури, суспільно-філософської думки першого білоруського Відродження XVI — першої половини XVII сторіччя.

The article reviews the achievements of the modern history of philosophy of Belarus (the 1990—2010s.) in the field of domestic thought of the first half of the 16—17th centuries. It is shown that the growth of scientific interest in the philosophy of the Renaissance was associated with the search of national and cultural identity, coincided with the 500th anniversary of the titular figure of Belarusian culture — the first printing pioneer and educator Francis Skarina. The greatest attention was paid to the analysis of the prerequisites and features of Renaissance humanist philosophy and specific social, ethical, social, political and aesthetic views, understanding of the religious and cultural life, development of national consciousness, religious free-thinking and freedom of conscience.
