The article analyses the internal differentiation of the Podkarpacki region with regard to employment structure by economic sector. The position of Mielecki County is also presented against the background of changes in the entire Podkarpacki region’s employment structure. Three measures were used for this purpose: Florence’s indicator, a method for analysing worker surplus across the economy’s sectors, and Bray-Curtis measure, all of which are applied in the statistical analysis of structural transformation processes.
