Przedmiotem artykułu jest omówienie problemu ekwiwalencji terminologii specjalistycznej przy tłumaczeniu tekstu naukowego z jednego języka naturalnego na drugi. Za przykład służy terminologia geografii fizycznej używana w językach węgierskim i polskim. Artykuł udowadnia, że język nauki, choć jest językiem uniwersalnym, nie zawsze da się wyrazić w dowolnym języku naturalnym.

The article discusses equivalence of specialized terminology in the translation of scientific texts from one natural language to another on the basis of terms in physical geography in Hungarian and Polish languages. The article proves that the language of science – though it’s universal – not always can be expressed in any natural language.
