The author presents Lewis's conception of individuals and doppelgangers. Then he proposes a set of necessary conditions for the identity of branched out individuals. He exemplifies his proposal by placing it within the frameworks of branching time and branching space-time theories. He defends this proposal against arguments that undermine the conception of branched individuals.
