Abstracts

The authoress debates some problems of ethnographical research, which are common for both ethnology and sociology. She mentions the negative sides of the growing tendency in the qualitative research towards the use of interview as the source of data. She also tries to draw the attention to the limits of the ethnographical potential as a consequence of premature setting of borders of the particular research case as well as to the suitability of a more instrumental approach to theoretical perspectives.
