The study focuses on the issues of innovation activity and attitudes towards innovations in Polish enterprises. Based on research, main factors influencing quantity and quality of innovation are identified. Among them an international transfer of knowledge is distinguished as a factor responsible for a strong differentiation of innovation activity. Management perception and attitudes towards economic phenomena, including innovation, are considered to be causative factors of innovations and general business economic performance.
