A survey by questionnaire was also conducted within the framework of researches into the social context of the reform efforts of public administration. The respondents were among the associates of the Ministry of Education and Culture as well as of the Ministry of Environment and Water and their background institutions. The paper summarises the data and findings of the survey. The main topics were: the number of reorganisations, the role of respondents played in those reorganisations, the effects of reorganisations on the personal career of people involved, opinions about the causes and motivations of reorganisations, job performance at the workplace, assessment of the organisational operation, information about the State Reform Committee and activities aiming at the revision of public tasks, assessment of the communication of the reform of public administration, the possible consequences and their probability of the revision of the institutions of public administration as seen by the respondents.
