This study discusses the aristocrats who aligned themselves with the Czechoslovak state in 1918 and entered into its service. This was a rather small group (brothers Zdeněk, Antonín and František Bořek-Dohalský, Max Lobkowicz, Jindřich Kolowrat-Krakovský or František Schwarzenberg), but it widened the spectrum of the aristocracy living in the Czech Lands from those who rejected the new state right from the beginning and those who only formally accepted it to those who identified with it right from its birth.
