Online marketplaces of transport services are at the top in the first decade of XXI century. They are sought after by the transport companies as well as by the producers looking for the transport. Their new cooperation thrives thanks to the Web 2.0, the technological tool used by all the online marketplaces offering transport services. In the article there are the characteristics of software employed to support transport services as well as the rules governing online marketplaces and technologies of information systems they are built on. The article predicts the direction in which the services offering access to online marketplaces are likely to develop
