The article presents e-learning as a new approach to acquire knowledge using electronic methods. On the strength of technological progress: new multimedia technologies and increasing computer power make e-learning become more popular. This method can be applied in education: beginning from introducing its elements in university, professional training and courses and continuing education in the end. The paper presents examples and possibilities how to apply e-learning tools. The social and economic development will significantly depend on acquirement of knowledge resources within the next few years.
