The problems of insurance in agriculture constitute a relatively difficult and complicated issue. This article presents possibilities offered by the current market situation in respect of comprehensive insurance of property owned by farmers. Only a few firms among those providing property insurance have decided to meet half-way the expectations of individual farmers and have prepared complex products designed specifically for this vocational group. The article draws attention to differences in individual insurance products and shows when insurance covers the property of a farmer and his family, which is situated in a residential building.
