In the paper selected approaches to decision-making analysis, methods of decision making under the conditions of certainty, risk, uncertainty with special regard to methods which could be applied in management were presented. Stages of the rational process of decision making and decision-making models have been described. The final part of the paper includes remarks on selected aspects concerning making decisions in organizations, i.e. the role of manager, decision making by a team, prescriptive systems, intuition, a creative process.
