The epoch of the Warsaw Principality and the Kingdom of Poland in their autonomous days is a period of the biggest activity of Stanislas Staszic in the field of educational system. When he was starting activity in this domain, he was 52, so he owned knowledge and vital experience. His interest in educational system emerged from the conviction, that it is an important instrument of social and economic rebuilding of the country. All of Staszic's operations in range of organization of educational system had a practical purpose. Schools were not only to educate young people, but also they were to prepare them to the useful work for the society and the country. This utilitarian point of view determined Staszic's plan of organization of educational system, which he processed in 1807. In his concept of organization of educational system he differed following rungs: elementary schools, subdepartment schools, department schools and main school, which consisted of the following departments: medical, physico-mathematical, law, natural history, literature and political economy. Staszic's project of educational system became the base of the next elaboration. In 1810 Staszic and Adam Michal Prazmowski presented a project of educational system to the House of Education. It consisted of: initial schools, department schools, lower department schools, higher department schools (secondary schools) and main school, which consisted of 5 departments: legal, administrative, philosophical, literature and medical. In spite of strong will and consequence in activity it was difficult for Staszic to realise his concept of organization of educational system. Encumbrances were wars and deficit in budget of the country. Conducive deterrent was the fact that Staszic participated in educational authorities of the Warsaw Principality. In the Kingdom of Poland Staszic continued organizational activity in domain of education. He focused his attention on vocational education aimed at educating personnel for the industry, which was very important for Staszic.
