A subject of author's studies, based on the analyses of the available objective and subjective bibliography, is person and work of Witold Rubczynski - a professor of philosophy. The separate source are the materials coming from Rubczynski's Archives preserved in Jagiellonian Library. Moreover, the bibliography of Rubczyński's papers, prepared by the author, not only makes numerous additions to the hitherto existing critical analyses, but also rectifies many mis-statements . In the part entitled 'Results of the Research Work' he points out the role and significance of the author of 'Philosophy of the Spiritual Life' in the interwar period, and his share in the development of historiography of the philosophy in Poland. While treating of a not very ample objective bibliography, he is concentrating on the fact that a pioneer of the Polish philosophical medieval studies was forgotten. The author is also focusing on the issues concerning the interpretation of Rubczynski's views. The main reason for the facts that are mentioned above is, in his opinion, a lack of the comprehensive critical analysis of the scientific output of Rubczynski. Both subjective and objective bibliography was added to the article.
