Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie aktywności w zgłaszaniu i rejestrowaniu patentów oraz wzorów użytkowych w Polsce i innych krajach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. Analizie poddano dwa projekty wynalazcze - patenty i wzory użytkowe. Okres badawczy dla Polski stanowiły lata 1980-2011, dla pozostałych krajów Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej lata 2003-2011. Podano liczby dotyczące zgłaszanych i zarejestrowanych projektów w formie udzielonych patentów i świadectw ochronnych w badanych latach. W celu zobrazowania dynamiki tych informacji zastosowano średnie tempo zmian. (fragment tekstu)

This article presents the activity in the reporting and recording of inventions and utility models in Poland and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe in the years 1980-2011. Data bases of GUS (the CSO of Poland) and the World Intellectual Property Organization were data source of the study. The most active countries in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of patent applications were Slovenia and Estonia. On the other hand, in terms of registration of utility models stand out Estonia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while the least ac-tive in this area were Bulgaria, Slovenia and Romania. Polish activity in this area was average. (original abstract)
