The research findings are presented according to the following categories: knowledge importance in management process, innovation as a result of knowledge use, knowledge as a determinant of management process efficiency, information as a key knowledge factor, use of management methods as knowledge increasing tools, demand for knowledge, investments as tools for creation of future knowledge sources, strategic aims. Two challenges for West Pomeranian enterprises arise from the analyzed material - a necessity for management systems improvement and an intensification of research implementation activities.
