The authoress shows the most significant aspects of Ukrainian-Polish relationships in culture, especially literary ones. She analyses translations of Polish masterpieces, like those by Adam Mickiewicz, Jaroslaw Iwaszkiewicz, Czeslaw Milosz or Wislawa Szymborska made by such Ukrainian writers as Maksym Rylski, Pavlo Tychyna, Mykola Bazhan or Dmytro Pavlychko. She also recalls the celebration of the Polish Year in Ukraine in 2004 and hopes that the Ukrainian Year in Poland (2005) will bring good creative and critical scholarly results.
