The Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone 'Euro-Park Wislosan' was established on the strength of the Decree of Ministers' Council of 9th Sept. 1997 and based on the Act on Special Economic Zones of 20th Oct. 1994. Among main goals of the zone there are: restructuring of the Tarnobrzeg province, acquiring of investors from alternative sectors to sulphur industry, development of post-industrial areas, as well as stimulation of the development of small and medium size production, leading to the creation of 11.000 new work places.
