Zainteresowanie poznawcze autorki niniejszego artykułu koncentruje się na określeniu funkcji partykuł modalnych w akcie komunikacji. Autorka szczególnie uwzględnia rolę partykuł modalnych jako elementów modyfikujących wypowiedzi realizowane przez czynności illokucyjne w tekstach opiniotwórczych. Partykuły modalne pozwalają nadawcy testu określić swój stosunek do referowanych w konstatacjach treści, dzięki czemu pośrednio wpływają na zmianę opinii odbiorcy.
