The article deals with the problem of internal co-operation within a multi-branch leather company and its Influence on integration of activities carried out by individual Internal units. The analysis is performed on the basis of studies conducted in such company. It shows that one of basic objectives behind establishment of the multi-branch company in question is linking of hitherto loosely co-operating plants Into one economic organization to attain better economic effects as a result of bigger integration. This target can, however, not always be attained, which among others is due to lack of properly prepared process of fusion of companies and lack of a properly designed system of managing a new company. Such a situation appeared in the company analyzed by the author. Certain general conclusions presented by the author should pave the way for wider utilization of internal co-operation as a factor integrating the work of a multi-branch company.
