Environmental management according to ISO 14001 in coal mining enterprises – selected aspects

This article describes the specific environment of the functioning of coal mining companies and the role of the natural environment in their existence. The most important types of impacts of coal mining companies on the natural environment is discussed in the following section. The implementation of an environmental management system in coal mining enterprises according to ISO14001 is based, in the first phase, on planning, and its essential element is an assessment of the environmental aspects. A procedure for the identification of environmental aspects according to ISO 14001 in coal mining companies is proposed.
W artykule scharakteryzowano specyfikę funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw górnictwa węgla kamiennego i rolę ochrony środowiska w ich funkcjonowaniu. W dalszej części przedstawiono najważniejsze formy oddziaływania przedsiębiorstw górnictwa węgla kamiennego na środowisko przyrodnicze. Implementacja systemu zarządzania środowiskowego według normy ISO 14001 w przedsiębiorstwach górniczych opiera się w pierwszej fazie na planowaniu, którego istotnym elementem jest ocena aspektów środowiskowych. Zaproponowano procedurę postępowania w etapie identyfikacji aspektów środowiskowych zgodnie normą ISO 14001 w przedsiębiorstwie górnictwa węgla kamiennego.
