Abstracts
The paper describes State aid in Poland in compared with State aid in the European Union. The overall level of State aid in Poland and in EU in during years 1997-2002 was closely analysed. The author pays attention to importance of the methodological problems concerning measurement of State aid level and comparison data in consecutive years. Afterwards passive and active forms of state aid in Poland (defined according to Union standards) were analysed, highlighting active forms domination. Finally coursc of changes conccrning forms and instruments of State aid was predicted, basing on the presented analysis.
