In this paper the Corporate Social Responsibility issue is presented out of two perspectives. First one presents the CSR concept as a solution widely expected by stakeholders, ethically desirable and economically justified. The other perspective is to indicate the CSR as an Utopian program, inconsistent with the basic business principles - the profit maximization. Both perspectives are depicted with practical examples.
