The aim of this article is to analyse the process of Witkacy’s moulding his ethical view. During his childhood and youth, he remained under his father’s (Stanisław Witkiewicz’s) intellectual influence. Witkiewicz, who was a Polish moral authority, had a very rigid pedagogical view, but it was not devoid of inaccuracies and inconsistency. It was the main reason for the conflict between the father and his son.
