The article discusses functioning of the biggest European corporations. It analyzes relation ships occuring between the corporation size and its: - profit-earning capacity - rate of growth - research and development activity - risk-taking and stability. The author claims that the corporation size is not positively correlated with profit, faster growth or more intensive reseerch and development activity. The main consequence of a big corporation size is reduction in variability od effects of operation of a big corporation which leads to reduction of risk.
